Weekly Stocks Report — Mar 6, 2026

Mar 6, 2026 · 6 min read · 🔒 Subscriber content

Here's a look at the stocks that showed the strongest momentum on StockJelli's screener this week. This week was tougher than the last three — outcome data tells the honest story. All data is pulled directly from StockJelli's screener logs, including full outcome tracking and the first week of RVOL (Relative Volume) data.

Week Overview

StockJelli's screener flagged 107 entries this week — down from 164 last week, with activity declining from Monday (35) through Friday (14). All 107 entries have full outcome data attached. This was also the first week with RVOL tracking, giving us a new data point on each entry's volume relative to its historical average.

Top 3 Screener Entries This Week

Ranked by peak percentage gain from screener entry.

1. BATL — peaked at +144.4%. SJ Score: 67. RVOL: 2.78x

Entered the screener on Monday at 6:30 AM ET. Price at entry: $10.50. Entry gain: +90.6%. Peak gain: +144.4%. SJ Score: 67. RVOL: 2.78x. The week's top performer entered pre-market with already enormous momentum (+90.6%) and continued running to a +144% peak. The RVOL of 2.78x confirms this wasn't thin-liquidity noise — volume was nearly 3x its historical average.

2. ZD (Ziff Davis) — peaked at +79.3%. SJ Score: 49. RVOL: 3.16x

Entered the screener on Tuesday at 7:07 AM ET. Price at entry: $47.37. Entry gain: +69.1%. Peak gain: +79.3%. SJ Score: 49. RVOL: 3.16x. ZD had the second-highest RVOL in the top 10 — 3.16x its typical volume. The relatively lower SJ Score of 49 is an interesting data point: strong volume doesn't always mean a high composite score. As we accumulate more weeks of paired SJ + outcome data, we'll be able to test whether RVOL or SJ Score is the better predictor.

3. ALTO (Alto Ingredients) — peaked at +60.6%. SJ Score: 61. RVOL: 5.02x

Entered the screener on Thursday at 6:34 AM ET. Price at entry: $3.65. Entry gain: +40.4%. Peak gain: +60.6%. SJ Score: 61. RVOL: 5.02x. ALTO had the highest RVOL of any top 10 entry this week — 5x its normal volume. That level of volume intensity in a sub-$5 stock with a +60% peak is a textbook momentum setup. ANNA on Friday posted an even higher RVOL (6.28x) but with a smaller peak gain of +39.1%.

Outcome Tracking: A Tougher Week

Last week's stock outcomes were all positive. This week was different. Here's the honest data from all 107 entries:

Time After Alert Avg Gain Win Rate Avg Win Avg Loss vs Last Week
30 minutes -0.45% 47% (50W/57L) +3.07% -3.53% ↓ was +0.68%
1 hour -0.60% 49% (52W/55L) +3.21% -4.20% ↓ was +1.02%
2 hours -1.30% 41% (44W/63L) +4.16% -5.12% ↓ was +0.98%
4 hours -0.87% 45% (48W/59L) +4.96% -5.61% ↓ was +1.26%
End of day -0.20% 51% (55W/52L) +5.44% -6.17% ↓ was +2.09%

The honest take: This was a negative week for stock screener entries. Average gains were negative at every time window, with the worst performance at the 2-hour mark (-1.30%, 41% win rate). Even the best window — end of day — was barely negative (-0.20%) with a 51% win rate.

There's an important lesson here. Last week's data showed a 57% win rate and +2.09% avg EOD gain. This week flipped to 51% and -0.20%. That's the difference market conditions make. The screener formula didn't change — the market did. This is exactly why the Market Pulse exists: it tells you when conditions favor momentum and when they don't. In a tough week, even good setups get dragged down.

The silver lining: average losses this week (-3.53% to -6.17%) were larger than last week (-2.00% to -3.32%), but average wins also held up (+3.07% to +5.44%). The losers got worse, but the winners still ran. This suggests the formula is finding movers — the problem is that more entries faded in a weaker market. The fix is a higher entry threshold during unfavorable regimes, not a different formula.

🆕 RVOL: First Week of Relative Volume Data

This is the first week we're tracking Relative Volume (RVOL) on screener entries — a measure of how a stock's current volume compares to its historical average. An RVOL of 2.0 means the stock is trading at 2x its normal volume. Here are the RVOL highlights from this week's top entries:

  • ANNA: RVOL 6.28x — the highest of the week (peak +39.1%, SJ 53)
  • ALTO: RVOL 5.02x — second highest (peak +60.6%, SJ 61)
  • TMDE: RVOL 4.37x — (peak +55.6%, SJ 71)
  • ZD: RVOL 3.16x — (peak +79.3%, SJ 49)
  • BATL: RVOL 2.78x — the top performer (peak +144.4%, SJ 67)

Early observation: the entries with the highest peak gains didn't necessarily have the highest RVOL. BATL was the top performer (+144%) at RVOL 2.78x, while ANNA had the highest RVOL (6.28x) but a more modest peak (+39.1%). More weeks of data are needed, but the initial signal is that RVOL above 2x seems to be a meaningful threshold — every top 10 entry this week cleared it except GDXD (0.83x), which also had the smallest peak gain of the group.

SJ Score Distribution

SJ Scores this week ranged from 49 (ZD) to 71 (TMDE). TMDE's SJ 71 with RVOL 4.37x and a +55.6% peak was one of the strongest combined profiles of the week. The highest SJ Score in the top 10 pairing with the third-highest RVOL is an early signal that the composite scoring is directionally correct — but we need many more weeks to validate.

Activity Pattern

  • Monday (2026-03-02): 35 entries
  • Tuesday (2026-03-03): 20 entries
  • Wednesday (2026-03-04): 17 entries
  • Thursday (2026-03-05): 21 entries
  • Friday (2026-03-06): 14 entries

A decaying pattern — activity peaked Monday (35) and declined steadily to Friday's 14. This is the opposite of the mid-week acceleration we've seen in previous weeks, and it lines up with the weaker outcome data. When screener entries are declining day-over-day throughout the week, it often signals that broad market momentum is fading, which drags individual setups down with it.
