Push Notifications Are Live: StockJelli Now Alerts You Before the Move
The StockJelli screener has always been about showing you what's moving right now. But "right now" only matters if you're looking at the screen. Starting today, you don't have to be.
Push notifications are live. When StockJelli detects a momentum setup that meets our criteria, it sends an alert directly to your device — before the move fully plays out. No refreshing. No staring at the screener all morning. You get a ping, you check the chart, you decide.
Why We Built This
The screener catches a lot of moves. Hundreds of entries per week across stocks and crypto. But watching a real-time screener all day is not realistic for most people. You have a job. You have a life. You glance at StockJelli when you can, and sometimes the best moves happened twenty minutes ago.
Notifications solve that. They turn StockJelli from a tool you visit into a tool that comes to you. The screener is still there — it's still the core of the platform — but now it has a voice. When something interesting is happening, it tells you.
The Three Channels
Not all momentum is the same, so not all alerts are the same. We built three distinct notification channels, each designed to catch a different type of setup.
Channel 1: Fast Movers (Stocks). This channel fires when a stock shows strong early acceleration — the kind of move that develops quickly and rewards fast attention. The system evaluates how momentum builds in the early minutes after a stock appears on the screener. If the setup matches our criteria, the alert fires. These are the tickers that are moving with urgency, and the alert gives you a window to evaluate them while the move is still developing.
Channel 2: Slow Burners (Stocks). Not every good move announces itself immediately. Some stocks build momentum gradually — stepping up over time without a dramatic spike. Channel 2 watches for this kind of steady, sustained progress over a longer window. These alerts tend to be quieter, more deliberate setups — the kind of moves that don't look exciting on a short-term chart but show clear intent on a longer timeframe.
Channel 3: Crypto. Crypto moves differently than stocks. The velocity is higher, the hours are unpredictable, and the volume patterns don't follow traditional market structure. Channel 3 is calibrated specifically for crypto momentum — tuned to filter out noise while catching real breakouts. During high-activity periods like weekend meme coin surges, this channel earns its keep.
Six Weeks of Data Behind Every Alert
We didn't just build the notification system and ship it. We spent six weeks — from early March through mid-April — running the formula silently against live market data. Every potential alert was logged, tracked, and measured against actual outcomes.
During that validation period, we tracked what happened after each alert would have fired: did the ticker hit our success target? How far did it go? When did it peak? Did it reverse? We measured outcomes across multiple time intervals to understand not just whether the alerts worked but how they worked.
That process shaped everything. We identified patterns that reliably preceded winning moves, and — just as importantly — patterns that preceded traps. The formula was refined week by week based on what the data actually showed, not what we assumed would work.
The result: across the validation period, the stock channels showed approximately 80% of alerts reaching the +3% success target. The crypto channel came in even higher. These aren't backtested numbers on historical data — they're forward-tested results from a formula running in real time against a live market.
Validation period → 6 weeks of live market data
Tracking method → Multiple outcome intervals per alert, from minutes through end of day
Stock channels → ~80% hit rate at success target
Crypto channel → Even higher hit rate
Methodology → Forward-tested in real time, not backtested on historical data
Refinement → Trap patterns identified and suppressed week by week
What You Receive
Each notification includes the ticker, the current price, the percentage change at the time of alert, and which channel triggered it. That's it. The alert tells you something is happening and gives you enough context to decide whether to look closer.
On the StockJelli screener itself, alerted tickers get highlighted in the main table so you can spot them at a glance. There's also a full notification log on the page where you can scroll through recent alerts, see their outcomes, and track how the formula is performing in real time. Transparency is the point — every alert is logged, every outcome is visible.
We intentionally kept the notifications lean. No price targets. No "BUY NOW" urgency. No predicted percentage gains. The alert is a signal, not a recommendation. You still do the analysis, you still make the call, you still manage your own risk. StockJelli gives you the awareness — what you do with it is yours.
What This Isn't
Push notifications are not trade signals. They are not financial advice. StockJelli is a momentum screener — an educational and informational tool that surfaces interesting market activity. The notifications are an extension of that: they surface the same kind of information the screener shows, just delivered to your device instead of waiting for you to visit the page.
The 80% hit rate is a measurement of the formula's historical performance during the validation period. Past performance is exactly that — past. Markets change. The formula will have losing streaks. Some weeks will be quiet, some will be noisy. We publish weekly reports with full transparency on how every alert performed, so you can always see exactly what's happening.
Pricing
Push notifications are available for $5/month. That includes all three channels — stocks fast movers, stocks slow burners, and crypto — with no limits on the number of alerts you receive.
For developers and builders who want to integrate StockJelli's momentum data into their own systems, we're also launching a Webhook API tier at $50/month. This delivers the same alert data as push notifications but via webhook — a POST request to your endpoint every time an alert fires, with structured JSON payloads you can feed into bots, dashboards, spreadsheets, or whatever you're building. A bundle of both for $52/month is also available.
The base StockJelli screener remains free. The Momentum River, Market Pulse, screener table, and all the core features are not going behind a paywall. Notifications and the webhook API are add-ons for people who want the screener to actively reach out to them.
What's Next
The formula isn't finished. Six weeks of validation gave us a strong foundation, but we're continuing to log every alert and measure every outcome. The weekly reports — which are now published publicly on the blog — will keep showing the full picture. If something needs tuning, we'll tune it. If a new pattern emerges in the data, we'll incorporate it.
We're also exploring a swing trade data layer that tracks how alerted tickers perform over multi-day windows — not just the first few hours. That data is already being collected and will inform future versions of the formula.
For now: the system is live, the data is real, and the river is flowing. Turn on notifications and let StockJelli do the watching for you.
